The long-term success of associations heavily depends on the strong leadership of a rock-solid board-CEO Strategic Governing Team. And experience has taught that association CEOs who are truly “board-savvy” must take the lead in building such partnerships. Drawing on Doug Eadie’s best-selling book, The Board-Savvy CEO, “The Board-Savvy CEO” webinar will provide participants with detailed, practical and thoroughly tested guidance in becoming truly board-savvy CEOs. The major topics that will be covered in this webinar program are: the detailed content of association governing work; the key characteristics of board-savvy CEOs; and the primary partnership-building roles of the board-savvy CEO, including: Chief Board Developer; Chief Governing Process Designer; and Chief Governing Relationship Manager. Special attention will be paid to the role of the board-savvy CEO in turning board members into satisfied owners of their governing work via well-designed engagement of board members in shaping their governing decisions and judgments and close attention to the emotional/ psychological dimension of the board-CEO partnership.
Please note that CAE exam and renewal applicants can only use a maximum of 50% of their application hours from self-study programs.
